This tent is recognizable from many medieval manuscripts, and was often beautifully decorated. It is appropriate for the later Middle Eastern personas as well as European, and those of the historic time period. The triangular profile of this pavilion makes it a sturdy design in wind and weather. It only needs two uprights and a single ridgepole, which allows for easy transportation. Since the door is in the center of this tent, it allows for usable floor space without a lot of guy wires on the outside (we do recommend using the high wind lines for added stability). The belled ends of this tent can be used for storage or sleeping areas. One door is standard on this pavilion, although we will equip yours with two doors if you prefer, for an additional $60. Two door styles are also available: The medieval door style is our usual split door with an 8” overlap (with ties inside and out), which can be tied open. The ‘French’ door is more appropriate to later periods, and has a raised section cut in the middle of the tent body held up by two poles, that serves as a small shade. This style door will have an additional fee of $50. We also offer an optional dagging treatment along the ridge for an additional $65.
