The round pavilion is one of the most commonly used period pavilions and was prevalent in the Middle Ages. It was in use from Europe through the Middle East, from early medieval times into the historic era. They were often decorated with colorful stripes, appliques, embroidery and paint, and created a lively scene in medieval manuscripts.

Our round pavilions are built to be suspended from a single center pole with perimeter poles and guy lines. The perimeter poles can be eliminated with longer guy lines if you prefer, but we do not recommend this, as it can place more stress on the peak and eventually damage the tent structure.

Decorative dags and mud flaps are a standard part of this pavilion, as are many of the regular features of our marquee tents. This tent features two doors with our standard 8" overlap, and ties on both the inside and outside, and the walls are removable for flexibility. Our standard wall height is 6', although the walls can be raised or lowered for a more personalized tent. As with our marquees, wall for the round tents are hung with the standard s-hooks (or snap hooks if you prefer) on a rope strung around the perimeter of the tent. The wall curtain hangs between the rain guard and the dagged outside edge of the tent, and gives you greater protection from wind and rain entering the tent.

Slanted walls are also available for the added room they give you on the inside (about 3 feet to the diameter of the tent), in addition to a larger exterior appearance. However, they allow more room for moisture to seep in, they are easier to trip over, and you cannot tie them to your perimeter poles. If you would like slanted walls, please add 13% to the price of your tent.

Pole ties that attach the walls to the perimeter poles for stability in weather are an optional feature (add an additional 5% to the price of the tent).
