The wedge tent is another prevalent tent style that was used in one form or another throughout the centuries. There are a variety of shapes and sizes suitable for many different time periods and geographical regions, including the Viking A-frame, which is among the earliest and most well documented tent styles. This is an ideal tent for people who want a tent they can set up by themselves. The wedge is a simple and basic design, and goes up easily with only two or three poles. You can further personalize these tents by painting the seams or any part of the tent to make it more individualized.

 Our wedge tents have a flat front and back, with an optional belled back available for additional storage. The basic wedge design comes standard with sod flaps and two doors with 8” overlapping edges that tie both inside and out, and side ties that allow you to tie the doors open. A single door is available on the belled-back designs, and if you want a door added to the bell, add $40 to the price. All stress points are reinforced with extra canvas or webbing, including the corners, peak, and ridgepole line.

The larger wedge tents (*) are also available in Viking A-Frame style, with a frame system instead of uprights. This allows for more room inside the pavilion without having poles get in the way of the interior space, and allows for easily moving the tent without having to dismantle it.  Please let us know which style you would prefer.
